How to create a role

The roles are kind of categories used to group users with the same permissions. A role, for example, would be 'Communication', which would bring together people who are part of a department of an organization.

Only users who have the administrator role can create roles. If you are an administrator you will see the main menu the 'Roles' link under the heading 'System / Users and Roles'.

Click to bring up a list of all roles discharged. Click on 'Add a new role" and give it the name you want.

At this point you must specify which permissions have this role, ie which parts of the webpage they can touch. 

On the screen you will see all modules installed Brancam.

• Pages
• News
• Diary
• Banners
• Etc.

Modules with special permits

You will see that there are modules in which, in addition to saying whether the person can access or not, you can specify details of the permit. 

Pages

You can specify which pages you can edit with this role.

• All pages. The role can edit any page within the tree.
• Only a few pages. The role can edit the selected pages and subpages of it hanging. You can only create pages hanging in assigned to it.      

Agenda and News

Paper. Assign different roles to users is useful, especially in sites where there are many people uploading and a control system generated information is necessary.

There are three roles available:

• Editor. You can create content, edit and publish.
• Editor (reviewer). It is an editor that has the responsibility to review the content entered by users with the role 'Creator'. When they create an event or news, the reviewer publisher receives a notification by e-mail, and decide if you can publish or, by contrast, correct.
• Creator this can create and edit content but not publish them on the web. When you create an event or news, the creator warns users editors reviewers to validate it. If they do not give approval, the news will not be published and therefore not appear on the web.

Categories managed. If you want the role to manage only certain categories, you can indicate this by clicking on the 'Select' link and choosing the categories you want. Thus users can only use their role in the selected categories.
